Ultrafast Fibre is a leader in New Zealand’s fibre revolution, established in 2010 to build the governments national UFB initiative which provides fibre access to more than 195,000 homes, business, schools and healthcare facilities in the Waikato, Taranaki and Bay of Plenty regions through a network of more than 3000km of cables.

As long-time members of beforeUdig Rotorua Lakes Council were challenged with a manually laborious response process to its incoming enquiries, tasked with supplying multiple sets of plans to provide asset information.

Transpower was operating a radio network for all internal information back from their power grid, however in 2009 they upgraded to a fibre network and became the 4th largest fibre asset owner in NZ.
